Dr. Christopher Vick, Associate Director of the Sherman STEM Teachers Scholars Program and founder of A2Z College Consulting, is passionate about providing every student the support and challenge they require in order to live out their dream. A proud product of Baltimore City Public Schools, he has served as a classroom teacher, program leader, college counselor, and administrator. In this way, Chris has spent his life promoting college access and success for students coming from marginalized backgrounds. A Morehouse Man and Boston College Eagle, Chris uses his experience and deep commitment to advocate for underserved youth. Dr. Vick is a skilled presenter and facilitator. He has spent most of his professional life working with teachers and helping them find more efficacious ways to impact the students they serve. Using a co-conspirator framework, he works with teachers to identify the root causes of their struggles in the classroom and their inability to most successfully work with all students. He has a unique and keenly honed ability to help participants move past their own cognitive dissonance and embrace the work needed to better teach all learners. Most importantly, Chris is a husband. He's a father of two incredibly patient daughters, and he's a Ravens fan. Dr. Vick is excited to be part of today’s dialogue.
