Chief Impact Officer
Calvin Lewis is a seasoned nonprofit professional with over a decade of education and nonprofit management experience. As Chief Impact Officer, Calvin is responsible for providing strategic leadership, management, and guidance to the President and CEO on a wide range of topics that include strategic initiatives, granting making, donor cultivation, and stakeholder engagement. In addition to his work at All Rise, Calvin is also a Ph.D. Candidate in the Urban Education (Social Foundations of Education) Doctoral Program at the University of Wisconsin Milwaukee (UWM) his research interests include race and schooling, critical and antiracist pedagogy, the history in, and sociology of public education, culturally relevant and sustaining pedagogies in urban school settings (PK-12), and the criminalization of minority youth in public K-12 education.
